The believers Judgment
2 cor. 5 10
Introduction
The Bible teaches that believers will someday have to give an account at the judgment seat of Christ. Concerning the judgment of believers, the following facts should be kept in mind.
1. All Christian will be subject to judgment; there will be no exception. Ro.14: 12, Ecc. 12: 14
2. This judgment will occur when Christ return for his church. Jn. 14:3
3. The judge is Christ (Jn.5:22
Note
The Lord will evaluate each of us, believer and unbeliever alike and will judge all our deeds wither they are good or bad. We will not be justified on the judgment day if we have neglected or rejected God’s grace.
I. God’s basis for judging is According to our performance.
A. Our secret acts. Mk. 4:22
B. Our character. Ro. 2:5,11
C. Our words. Mt.12:36,37
D. Our good deeds. Eph. 6:8
E. Our attitudes. Mt. 5:22
F. Our motives. 1Cor. 4:5
G. Our lack of love. Col.3: 18
H. Our work and ministry. Col. 3:13
II. Gods basis for Judging According to our Loyalty
A. Ability and availability= accountability. Mt. 25: 21, 23
B. The believer’s good deeds and love are remembered by God and rewarded. The Lord will reward for whatever good he does. Heb.6:10, Eph.6:8
III. Gods basis for Judging is Varied and Accordingly
A. The specific results of the believer’s judgment will be varied. There will be gain or loss.
B. Devine approval, task and authority. Position, honor and reward
Conclusion
The believer’s judgment, however, will not involve a declaration of Gods condemnation so we must be clear minded and self-controlled, to live holy Godly lives and to show mercy and kindness to all.
