Forgiveness

Text; Isa.1; 18

Forgiveness is necessary because we have sinned destroyed our relationship with God and become subject for condemnation.

What is Forgiveness?

Next to love, forgiveness is the most basic and most powerful dynamic of the good news Jesus has delivered to the world.

a.  God restores what is lost.

b.  He repairs what is broken

c.  The Heb.. / Gk. For forgiveness, is to cover, cancel, to pardon to send away.

d.  No sin has been committed, saving from eternal punishment.

e.  Accepting them and delivering them from the dominion of sin and transferring into Christ kingdom.

f.  Renewing the whole person an d promising  eternal life.

II.How God forgive us?

a.  By giving his life through Jesus Christ

b.  By shedding of his blood. Heb.9;22

c.  By repentance and confession  1John 1;9

Forgiveness is prominent in Jesus ministry; 3 stories of healing

Matt. 9:1-8 Paralize young men, Jesus greet forgiveness not healing

Zacheaus;’ tax collector the chief sinner in their society, but Jesus ever eager forgive him.

John 8;3-11- a woman caught in an adultery, Jesus said Iwiol not judge youGo now aND sin no more

Note; Those who recognize their sins, Jesus tenderly and personally forgives.Those who deny their sin are condemn, others Jesus routinely confronts.

Reminder; Peter ask in discussion, asking How often I must forgive my brother? I tell you seven times If  he does wrong to you, seventy times seven.This number symbolically represents forever.

Forgiving others is a lengthy process. If we forgive God will forgive us.

III. The blessing of forgiveness

a.  You will be relesase from all resentment

b.  You will b e free from all guilt and hatred

c.  Peace and joy will flow and reign in your heart

d.  Forgive others and you will be forgiven.

Conclusion;Forgiveness has the undeniable right to  have the last word, and once it is spoken , nothing more can be said—except.. Thank You’
